Planning an FTO Cash-In? Here's What to Know First...
As you consider your Faculty Time Off (FTO) plans, we'd like to share a quick and friendly reminder about the FTO cash-in process.
- To be eligible to cash in up to 40 hours of FTO this fiscal year, you'll need to have
used and reported at least 40 hours of FTO beforehand. If you work less than full-time, this requirement is adjusted based on your current FTE.
- "Used and reported" means the time has been taken, recorded on your timesheet, and processed by payroll—not just entered. Timing matters, so we recommend checking your balance early if you plan to submit a request.
If you have any questions, please review the details on the website or feel free to reach out to the payroll team at ua-payroll@alaska.edu. They're happy to help.
