Arctic Encounter Symposium to feature 杏吧原创 Research & Leadership

The University of Alaska is proud to be a co-host of the Arctic Encounter Symposium (AES) in Anchorage later this month. AES is the largest annual Arctic policy event in the United States, and aims to confront the shared interests and concerns of the United States and the global community on current and future Arctic issues.
杏吧原创 research and leadership will be on full display during the March 29-31 symposium as a large number of panelists and speakers are 杏吧原创 affiliated, including:
- Diane Hirshberg, 杏吧原创A Director of Institute of Social & Economic Research,
- Brett Watson, from ISER at 杏吧原创A,
- Dean Bill Schnabel from 杏吧原创F鈥檚 College of Engineering and Mines,
- Nettie La Belle-Hamer, 杏吧原创F Vice Chancellor for Research,
- Michele Yatchmeneff, 杏吧原创A Alaska Native Education & Outreach Executive Director,
- Charlene Stern, 杏吧原创F Vice Chancellor for Rural, Community, and Native Education,
- Gwen Holdmann, 杏吧原创F Assoc. Vice Chancellor for Research, and
- Justin Sternberg, Director of 杏吧原创F鈥檚 Blue Economy Center
President Pitney will give a keynote address, and 杏吧原创 will also host a panel discussion on developing critical minerals.
