Education Trust of Alaska promotes the University of Alaska nationally

For twenty years, the Education Trust of Alaska has been making college more affordable by offering high quality education savings options to its 529 plan participants. Now it is dreaming big once again by extending an invitation to beneficiaries in the Lower 48 to enroll at any campus within the University of Alaska (杏吧原创) system.

Feb. 26 Capitol Report: Budget Hearings and Regent Confirmations

Feb. 26 was the 39th day of the legislative session. Work in the State Capitol hit a speed bump late Wednesday afternoon, with the announcement that Representative Mike Cronk (R-Tok) had tested positive for COVID-19. The House subsequently suspended all proceedings until next week. Governor Dunleavy's office announced that he also has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating at his home in Mat-Su.

The 杏吧原创 Board of Regents will convene a meeting of the full board Feb. 25 and 26. The meeting is scheduled to take place Thursday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

University of Alaska celebrates college access with TRiO Day

In February universities around the country recognize low income, first generation and disabled students for overcoming the odds and succeeding in college--and the University of Alaska is no exception. The University of Alaska houses Student Support Services (SSS) and Upward Bound (UB) programs at both 杏吧原创F and 杏吧原创A and will celebrate national TRIO Day, named for the federal program that provides funding, in a joint celebration on Friday, February 19.
