Telephone-based diabetes prevention program available statewide
June 19, 2020
A pilot program that offered free diabetes prevention coaching by phone on the Kenai Peninsula is available now statewide. Through the Prevent T2 National Diabetes Prevention Program, individuals who have prediabetes will receive a digital scale, program materials and a full year of telephone support from a trained mentor.

Board of Regents commits to further study of structural option, approves FY21 Budget

The University of Alaska Board of Regents voted today on a process for a more in depth review of an option to merge the University of Alaska Southeast with the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The motion, offered by Juneau Regent Dale Anderson, includes student, staff and faculty governance in the process and sets an October deadline for finalizing a report to the board.

Annual Title IX training will open Sept. 1

The University of Alaska is committed to a safe campus environment where our students, staff and faculty can learn, work and live. Employees are required to complete Title IX training each fiscal year. Training will open September 1, and the Fall 2020 employee deadline for training is September 30, 2020.
